I recently watched a video on YouTube about a fellow who discovered an "RFID smart chip" inside the grip of his HK .45 pistol - specifically, underneath the back strap but attached to the gun's grip itself. Looks like I have a converted v1 to v7. My box says v1 with matching SN, but it is most definitely a LEM with no safety. It also has a RFID chip.
