In this project, we are going to develop an RFID and keypad based Security system. This project is implemented by using 8051 microcontroller. RFID Tecnology (Radio Frequency Identification and Detection) is commonly used in schools, colleges, office and stations for various purposes to automatically authenticate people with valid RFID tags. This project is equipped with two security features that help users to protect their rooms from unauthorized users. An additional feature, alert notifications to the users through Telegram that allows them to know their room door status was also included. A triple layer security system using Arduino Mega which are RFID Module, 4*4 Numeric Keypad and Fingerprint Sensor. The user is granted the access of the door lock only when it is verified.RFID and Keypad Door lock and Alert System Using Arduino. Upon scanning the right tag and entering right pass, it will open door and send confirmation message otherwise it will send alert message.
Previously we built a password based door lock system using Arduino in which user needs to remember the passcode and enter the password by manually touching typing it on the keypad. But unlike the previous project here we are using contactless RFID cards as access control keys to unlock the door.

Mobile-based access control relies on a couple of different technologies: RFID and Bluetooth. Specifically, many phones use the NFC standard of RFID and the BLE standard of Bluetooth for such unlocks. Both work without needing to pair .There so many factors. If the card is a high frequency card that your phone can read, and the student hostel only uses the serial number of the card (not the data stored on it), and you have a rooted Android phone and you have an app that can do that sort of thing (like NFC Card .
